The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church is a Christian fellowship driven by care and compassion.
Members of the Church have lived and worked in North East Derbyshire and Chesterfield for over 160 years, with its UK heritage spanning over 200 years. We are committed to serving our local communities, including through extensive charitable and philanthropic activities.
Rooted in the local community
The Church has an established record of supporting the local community in North East Derbyshire and Chesterfield. This includes through the Rapid Relief Team, a charity made up of volunteers from the Church.
From donating Food Boxes and Baby Care Kits to those in need in the community, delivering learning kit resources to schools, joining in at local litter picks, to serving 1,000 meals at Ashgate Hospice’s Superhero Night Walk, the Church has made a significant positive impact in the local area.
The local congregation has also been an active member in the area, including a donation of £1,000 towards a much-needed clean-up of ponds in Allendale Park, Wingerworth. Indeed, we understand the fabric of the area and what is important to people.
